According to a report from Aaron Wilson, the Detroit Lions are protecting the following four practice squad players.
QB David Blough
TE Isaac Nauta
DB Dee Virgin
RB Jonathan Williams
By protecting these players, another NFL team cannot sign them. The remaining 12 players on the Lions practice squad are eligible to be signed by another team, but they would have to be put on the 53-man roster. Those 12 players cannot be signed to another team’s practice squad.
