When Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford took a bit hit this past Sunday causing his helmet to come off vs. the Washington Football Team, the initial hope was that he did not suffer a brain injury (concussion). Well, Stafford did avoid any damage to the head/neck area but he did manage to partially tear a ligament in the thumb on his throwing hand.

That being said, Ian Rapoport is not only reporting that Stafford should start today against the Carolina Panthers but that he will have no limitations.
#Lions QB Matthew Stafford (thumb) is listed as questionable, but he got through the week with no issues and should start, source said. Despite a minor ligament tear in his throwing thumb, Stafford has no limitations.

Though Stafford sounds to be good to go, he will be without three of his top offensive weapons as Kenny Golladay, D’Andre Swift, and Danny Amendola are all OUT with injuries.
