The Detroit Red Wings surprised quite a few people by starting off the season with a 3-1 record. Because of the hot start, many fans and media members were even mentioning that the Red Wings have what it takes to get back into the NHL Playoffs.

Well, that was then and this is now.
Fast forward to the present and the Wings are now 4-10-1 and they easily look like one of the worst teams in the league.
Following the Red Wings 4-0 loss on Saturday night to the Florida Panthers, head coach Jeff Blashill called out his players for a lack of effort.
“I did not think we competed hard enough as a group,” Blashill said. “Our most skilled guys have to compete.”
