Prior to Wednesday’s game against the San Francisco Giants, Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers was asked about being involved in recent trade rumors. He reminded everyone that he was the one who had the ultimate control.
Verlander also said that fans have begun coming up to him to thank him for all he has done.
Verlander "I've had a lot of people on the street come up and say hey we hope you stay or just thank you for everything you've done"

But when asked about whether or not anyone has suggested he leave Detroit, Verlander had some choice words.
Anybody tell JV to leave? "Most of those people said that a few years ago & I think I did a pretty good job shoving it up those peoples ass"

Well, I guess that’s one way to put it, and he is not wrong. After it looked like JV would never be himself again, he proved his haters wrong by coming in second place in the 2016 Cy Young voting. Unfortunately, he has not been able to replicate what he did last season in 2017.
Twitter seems to be the best place to go if you want to troll a professional athlete and Verlander also has a strong message for those people.
JV on Twitter Trolls "they just want to be behind a keyboard & get reaction, those people are pointless & probably lead a meaningless life"

Sounds like the former Cy Young and American League MVP was a bit fired up before tonight’s game.
