Via Detroit Lions:
Picucci joins the Lions coaching staff in 2018 after spending the last two seasons (2016-17) at the University of Maine, where he worked as the offensive line/run game coordinator (2017) and running backs coach (2016). His coaching experience spans more than 20 years throughout the college ranks, including previous stints at Becker College (2015), Widener University (2014), Central Connecticut State (2013), UMass (1998-99, 2004-12) and Northeastern (2000-03). Picucci earned his coaching start at Southern Connecticut State in 1994 following a playing career at Syracuse as a fullback and tight end from 1989-93. He graduated from Syracuse with a Bachelor of Science in Education.
Lions GM Bob Quinn has made it clear that fixing the running game will be a collaborative effort and you can be sure that Picucci, who has experience in that area, will be part of that effort.
