LOOK: Detroit Red Wings Jimmy Howard reveals military-inspired goalie masks for tonight’s game

Today is Veterans Day and as we fans honor those who served in the United States Armed Forces, may teams and players in the world of sports will be doing the same.

On Saturday, the Detroit Red Wings tweeted out photos of the military-inspired masks that goalies Jimmy Howard and Petr Mrazek will be wearing tonight at the LCA against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Wings also tweeted out a photo of the special Veterans Day nameplates which are on the player’s lockers.

Through 17 games, the Red Wings are 8-8-1 (17 points) which places them 11th in the Eastern Conference, 11 points behind the 1st place Tampa Bay Lightning.
