‘Fake News’ reporter calls out Detroit Lions’ GM Bob Quinn, gets set straight by local blogger

Michael David Smith hates the Detroit Lions and he proved that once again on Friday by calling out Bob Quinn.

Fortunately, nobody is buying Smith’s fake news attempt thanks to local blogger Erik Schlitt from Lions Wire.

During Quinn’s year-end press conference, he was asked about why he didn’t find out Matt Patricia had once been accused of sexual assault before hiring him as head coach.

Quinn responded by saying, “I’m not paid to do extensive background checks.”

Michael David Smith, who is somehow employed as the managing editor at Pro Football Talk, decided to turn Quinn’s response into something it is clearly not. (Schlitt will prove that in a moment)

“That’s just a ridiculous abdication of a general manager’s responsibility,” Smith tweeted irresponsibly.

Luckily, the best Detroit Lions reporter/blogger in the nation Erik Schlitt from Lions Wire immediately called Smith out for his moronic tweet.

“This quote is completely out of context. Quinn said he has a staff that does background checks and he personally doesn’t do them,” tweeted Schlitt.

Nation, we are sure you know it by now, but Michael David Smith is certainly one to avoid when it comes to getting Detroit Lions news.

And if you are not yet following Erik Schlitt from Lions Wire, DO IT NOW!

Projecting the Detroit Lions’ 2019 Starting Offense

The 2018 Detroit Lions season is officially a wrap and with a 6-10 record, they finished in last place in the NFC North.

In this piece, I am going to break down what I believe the 2019 Detroit Lions starting offense would look like if Bob Quinn makes the right moves in free agency and the draft.

So, without further ado, I give you the 2019 Detroit Lions starting offense.

Quarterback – Matthew Stafford

Though some of you are eager for the Lions to part ways with Matthew Stafford, that is not going to happen. At least not this year.

Wide Receiver 1 – Kenny Golladay

Golladay continues to show flashes of why he will be a No. 1 wide receiver in this league for a long time. I truly look forward to watching him grow in a Lions uniform.

Wide Receiver 2 – Marvin Jones Jr.

Marvin Jones will be back again in 2019 and if he is healthy, he is a nice weapon for Stafford and the Lions offense.
