If you are a parent and are into baseball, you have probably wondered about what the perfect age is to introduce the game to your son or daughter. Most agree that the earlier the better is always a safe bet, so that’s what I did with my son and so far it has paid off. In fact, he completed his first season of tee ball this past spring as a 4-year-old and you should have seen some of the frozen ropes he hit at the other kids who were busy picking dandelions!

ESPN’s Keith Law shows no love to Detroit Tigers farm system

Prospects. Prospects. Prospects. That’s all Detroit Tigers fans have been hearing since the fire sale that began last season. And recently each media outlet has given out their top-100 prospect list.

In one list, the Tigers had three players selected as top-100, with recently acquired Franklin Perez coming in at #35. Also on the Baseball America list where Alex Faedo (50) and Matt Manning (78). This is somewhat uncharted territory for the Tigers, who last had three players land in the top-100 of Baseball America back in 2011.
