Red Wings announce alternate captains for 2021-22 NHL Season

The Detroit Red Wings are set to begin the 2021-22 NHL Season on Thursday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Forward Dylan Larkin will start his second season as captain of the team, and now we know who will be wearing the “A” on their sweaters.

Two spots opened after forward Luke Glendening departed for the Dallas Stars and Frans Nielsen was bought out. Earlier today, the team announced Danny DeKeyser and Marc Staal would serve as alternate captains:
