REPORT: AL West team now pursuing Detroit Tigers’ pitcher

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the Oakland Athletics are pursuing a few pitchers, including Detroit Tigers‘ closer, Shane Greene.

From San Francisco Chronicle:

So far, trade season has brought the A’s Saturday night’s winner, Homer Bailey, and his former Royals teammate, left-hander Jake Diekman, acquired earlier in the day.

Diekman won’t join the A’s until Tuesday, but the Oakland front office is continuing to work to improve the team — and, The Chronicle has learned, the A’s have made calls on one of the biggest fish potentially available, Mets starter Noah Syndergaard, along with another member of New York’s rotation, Zack Wheeler, and Detroit reliever Shane Greene.
