It has been over a year since Detroit Lions TE T.J. Hockenson suffered an ankle injury that caused him to miss the remainder of the 2019 season.
Not only has Hockenson come back nicely from the injury but on Monday, he learned that he had been voted into the Pro Bowl.
A day later, Hockenson spoke to reporters and revealed that his injury from a year ago was much more severe than we thought as he actually broke his leg and tore ligaments in his ankle. He also said he is thankful to all of the people who have helped him along the way to rehab from his injury.

“It was definitely a tough situation,” Hockenson said Tuesday. “Just being able to rehab from that, and having some great physical therapists that helped me along the way, you know, and coming back from that and then being able to go down and still have an offseason, it truly means a lot to (me) all the people that voted.”
Hockenson, who is in his second year in the league, is just 103 yards away from breaking the Lions all-time single-season receiving yards record, which is currently held by Brandon Pettigrew with 777 receiving yards in 2011.
