The hockey world was abuzz following a first period fight between Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin and Carolina Hurricanes forward Andrei Svechnikov during Game 3 of their opening round playoff series.
The Great 8 caught Svechnikov with a hard right, knocking the 19-year old to the ice and hitting his head. He needed plenty of help getting up, and didn’t return to the game.
This caught the attention of Svechnikov’s brother, Evgeny. You may know him as the 22-year old prospect with the Red Wings, drafted 19th overall in the 2015 NHL Draft. He was poised to potentially make the team roster this season before an ACL injury ended his year.
He took to his Instagram account and posted this cryptic warning, directly tagging Ovechkin:
Wtf does this even mean? Andrei Svechnikov’s brother Evgeny on his Instagram story pic.twitter.com/U8XwGtHk6E

What do you think? Does Evgeny want to throw down with Ovi?
