After defeating Penn State 27-24 on Saturday, the Michigan State Spartans finally started to get some respect as they jumped all the way to No. 13 in the AP Top 25 poll.
But apparently, the Las Vegas sportsbooks are not quite ready to anoint the Spartans at the top dog in the Big Ten in advance of their matchup this Saturday in Columbus against the Ohio State Buckeyes.

OK, do you have a number in your head? If so, continue reading.
According to the Wynn Las Vegas, the Buckeyes are currently listed as a hefty 16-point favorite over Michigan State. That's right, enough people bet on Ohio State out of the gate that the line increased two full points in less than an hour of being released.
So, Spartan Nation, is your team going to shock the world yet again? Or does Vegas have this number correct?
Mark Dantonio and his players have message for hard-core Michigan State fans
As the Michigan State Spartans were making their final preparations for Saturday’s matchup against No. 7 Penn State, the “so-called” experts were busy making their last-minute picks and not many had MSU winning the game.
But as we now know, Mark Dantonio and his players had something else in mind as Matt Coghlin kicked a last-second 34-yard field goal to defeat the Nittany Lions 27-24.
That all came after the game was delayed in the 2nd quarter due to severe weather. The delay lasted three hours and 23 minutes and many of the Spartans fans who were in attendance decided to hit the road in favor of a warm, dry environment.
But not all of them.
When play finally resumed, there was still a group of Spartans faithful who stayed to cheer on their team and it all paid off.
