The National Football Leauge has confirmed the headliner for the Super Bowl LII Halftime Show at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota and it did not take long for a local news outlet to take an uncalled for shot at the Detroit Lions.
According to NFL.com, the headliner for the show will be none other than “Global Superstar” Justin Timberlake. It will be the third time that Timberlake has performed at the Super Bowl, which is more than any other individual entertainer in history.

Timberlake also jumped on Twitter along with his buddy Jimmy Fallon to confirm.

Though the Super Bowl Halftime Show entertainment announcement is always something to look forward to, that is not what really got our attention this evening.
Just after the announcement from the NFL, the Detroit Free Press took to Twitter to take a shot at OUR Detroit Lions.
“Hey, if any #Lions players like JT, they'll be able to watch him on their TVs just like us…”
Are you freaking kidding me, FREEP? What kind of jackass do you have running your Twitter feed? Clearly, they do not support the Detroit Lions and guess what, they represent YOU!
Lions fans immediately went off on the Free Press, as they should. Get a life Detroit Free Press. Oh, and while you are at it, hire a new 3rd grader to run your Twitter account.
It's hard to fail with a typical lions joke, but you did…
