Steve Longa played in 15 games for the Lions in 2018 and he quickly established himself as one of the most valuable players on special teams. That being said, there is a TON of competition at the LB position this year and that could spell trouble for Longa.
Prediction: Matt Patricia has made it clear that he likes players who are able to get the job done in as many different positions as possible. Longa is one of those players who can provide depth at LB and also be a leader on special teams but in my opinion, that will not be enough this time around as he gets cut.
