The Detroit Lions offseason is set to bring a whole lot of changes. While Bob Quinn searches for the next head coach he will also be in charge of filling out a roster with some noticeable holes in it. Another thing that comes with the offseason is the revolving door of players leaving, coming, and retiring.
On Friday, Lions wide receiver Jared Abberderis announced his retirement.

In his lone season with the Lions, Abbrederis caught just three passes for forty-four yards. Abbrederis spent his previous two seasons in Green Bay, where most of his success came his rookie year when he caught nine passes for 111 yards.

The Wisconsin native was drafted in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL draft by the Green Bay Packers. Abbrederis played his college ball at the University of Wisconsin, where he enjoyed an ample amount of success. Abbrederis totaled over 3,000 yards and 23 touchdowns in his four years at Wisconsin.
As successful as an offensive player that Abbrederis was at Wisconsin, Michigan State fans may remember his poor defensive ability. The thrilling 2011 match-up between Wisconsin and Michigan State ended with a Kurt Cousins hail mary pass that bounced into a State receivers hands for a touchdown. All this capable due to Abbrederis misjudging the ball, allowing it to bounce around.

As Abbrederis enters into the next phase of his life he will have plenty of memories and accomplishments to look back on. Including a Big Ten Championship and many other individual awards and success. Well deserved retirement for Abbrederis.
