The Michigan Wolverines will be well represented this next weekend in the NFL conference championship games and ranked amongst top alumni playing as well. The trio of Michigan alums of Tom Brady, Brandon Graham, and Ben Gedeon will all be playing a significant role for their teams this weekend in trying to help their team make it to the Super Bowl.

This is nothing new for Brady who has been consistently in conference championship games with the Patriots and played in seven super bowls, winning five of them, but for Graham and Gedeon, this is their first conference championship game.

Graham who has been in the league since 2010 has been a consistent performer and a mainstay for the Eagles defense which is ranked amongst the NFL best this year. Gedeon who is a rookie and was drafted in the 4th round in this past year’s draft by the Minnesota Vikings has worked his way as a starter for the Vikings and been a key contributing member to another one of the NFL’s top defenses on the year.

Other colleges that were ranked high with alumni are Florida St with Jalen Ramsey, Patrick Robinson, and Telvin Smith. Ramsey and Smith both play significant roles for the Jaguars defense while Robinson is a key part of Eagles defense. The University of Miami is also well represented with Calais Campbell, Allen Hurns, and Brandon Linder. All of these former Hurricane players are now playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The University of Central Florida is also well represented and ranked highly with A.J. Bouye, Blake Bortles and Latavious Murray. Bouye and Bortles both play for the Jaguars while Murray is with the Vikings.
