According to reports, the Detroit Lions are signing a 2013 first-round draft pick.

Ian Rapoport tweeted out this morning that the Lions are signing former Green Bay Packers first-round pick Dantone Jones. Jones, who plays on the defensive line (also played some LB in GB), was selected by the Packers with the 26th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

The Lions are not expected to officially announce the signing and corresponding move until Wednesday.

Jones spent 2013-2016 with the Packers before signing with the Minnesota Vikings prior to the start of the 2017 training camp. He was placed on injured reserve by the Vikings before Week 1 of the 2017 season.

While with the Packers, Jones played in 59 games but only started seven of those games. In his four seasons, he collected 73 tackles and nine sacks.
