The 2019 season will get underway for the Detroit Tigers on Thursday and they will already be shorthanded.
According to the Tigers, the have placed both JaCoby Jones and Drew Verhagen on the 10-day Injured List retroactive to March 25.
In a corresponding move, they have recalled Dustin Peterson from Triple A Toledo.
Following today’s game, the Tigers have placed RHP Drew VerHagen and OF JaCoby Jones on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to 3/25), and recalled INF/OF Dustin Peterson from Triple A Toledo. Additionally, C Cameron Rupp has been reassigned to Minor League camp.
