BREAKING: Michigan lands ANOTHER 4-star commit, climbs past Ohio State in recruiting rankings

According to The Michigan Insider, 2020 4-star running back/linebacker Kalel Mullings committed to Michigan on Wednesday evening. The commitment moves the Wolverines past Ohio State and up to No. 5 on the 247 Sports Composite team rankings.

From 247Sports:

Mullings visited Michigan many, many times throughout his recruitment. The four-star was one of the first 2020 prospects the staff recruited as defensive coordinator Don Brown made the Massachusetts native a priority more than two full calendar years ago.

The four-star was among the many who were on campus officially last weekend. Michigan has reeled in eight verbal commitments since Sunday. Mullings told our own Josh Newkirk that the Wolverines did a lot of the right things on his official visit.

“It was a good experience to get back out (to Michigan),” Mullings told The Michigan Insider. “We flew in and were able to have dinner at the Big House, which was really cool. And the next day do a little bit of a campus tour, see the dorms, talk to the strength coach, talk to (Jim) Harbaugh, coach (Don) Brown, all those guys about my place at Michigan and how I can help the program.”

After many were doubting Michigan’s 2020 class, the Wolverines have absolutely cleaned house over the past few days to move way up in the rankings.
