One particular road sign in the state of Mississippi, deep in SEC country, decided to have a little fun at the expense of their college football brethren – notably the Big Ten and Pac-12.
The SEC is scheduled to play football this fall, while the Big Ten and Pac-12 aren't; the Big Ten will attempt to have some kind of a season in the spring. The Pac-12 is shut down at least through January.
Until then, those of us in Big Ten country are without our fall collegiate pastime.
Check out this road sign in Jackson, MS that's sure to ruffle more than a few feathers:
“Be like the Big 10, stay home and avoid gatherings”, the sign read.
Notable names in the Big Ten including Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day and Nebraska coach Lincoln Riley have all been vocal about their desire to play football as normally scheduled, while several parents of players have protested the decision by the Conference to postpone play.
