The game of football has changed immensely over the years. Every so often it’s nice to look back and check out the history of the game. Today we have that opportunity as footage of a game between the Detroit Lions and Brooklyn Dodgers has been found. The terrific footage below gives insight on old school equipment, playcalling, and uniforms.
In 1939 the Detroit Lions finished with a record of 6-5 and finished 3rd in the NFL Western Division behind the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers. So, I guess not everything has changed since the 1930s.
