Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff admits he could miss game vs. Browns

During the Detroit Lions‘ 16-16 tie against the Pittsburgh Steelers, QB Jared Goff suffered an oblique injury that could end up keeping him out of this week's matchup against the Cleveland Browns.

On Wednesday, Goff spoke to the media and admitted that he could miss Sunday's game.

“It has gotten better since the game,” Goff said. “Will it be better by Sunday? I don’t know. We’ll see. Hopeful.”

Goff added that he will only suit up against the Browns if “there'd be no limitations” to the Lions' gameplan.

“I think last week, I don’t know if the gameplan was adjusted based on the weather or based on my injury. Better question for Dan, probably,” he said. “But there was definitely some limitations there that I don’t know if I kind of realized in the moment.”

Goff did not practice at all on Wednesday and we will have to monitor the situation moving forward.

If Goff is unable to give it a go against the Browns, backup Tim Boyle would likely get the start as he is the QB who took first team reps during Wednesday's practice.
