Inside the Article:
After starting off the season by dropping six of their first seven games, there were a decent amount of people who were actually ready to fire Detroit Lions head coach, Dan Campbell. Those are almost certainly the same yahoos who were loud and clear about how Jared Goff would not make it to 2023 as the Lions' starting signal-caller. Well, the Lions went on to win 8 of their final 10 games to finish their campaign with a 9-8 record. Unfortunately, 9 wins ended up being one game short of earning a berth in the 2022 NFL Playoffs. That being said, most of you will probably be watching the AFC and NFC Championship Games on Sunday, so we figured we would help you decide who to root for.

Why it should matter for Detroit Lions fans
No, the Lions are not in the NFL Playoffs, which means they definitely are not in the NFC Championship Game. But, mark my words, they will make it to the NFC Championship Game before the 2025 season!
- The Lions finished just short of the playoffs in 2022
- They were one of the top 4 teams in the NFC, despite not making the playoffs
- The Lions have cap space and they have two first-round picks in 2023
- Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes have them on the right path
NFC Championship Game Rooting Guide
San Francisco 49ers at Philadelphia Eagles – 3:00 p.m. FOX
As I have been saying throughout the 2022 NFL Playoffs, I would love to see former Lions' CB Darius Slay win a Super Bowl and a bunch of Lions' fans probably feel the same way. Because of that, I will be rooting for the Eagles, even though I don't care for them too much.

Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs – 6:30 p.m. CBS
Patrick Mahomes vs. Joe Burrow! What a matchup this is going to be for a spot in the Super Bowl! At the beginning of the playoffs, I made a comment about how I was not a huge fan of Burrow. Well, as the playoffs have gone on, I have changed my tune, and after he trolled the NFL after beating the Buffalo Bills, I am now a fan! Root for the Bengals!
