If you stayed up on Sunday night to watch the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history, you probably went to bed thinking about how it would feel if the Detroit Lions actually won a championship. Well, the 2016 season is now in the past and it is time to start looking at how the 2017 season will shape up.
ESPN has released their 2017 Way Too Early NFL Power Rankings, and the Lions are in the middle of the pack at No. 14. Here is what ESPN had to say about the Lions.
When you click below and read through the complete rankings, you will realize that Detroit is behind only Green Bay in the NFC North, but 8th in the NFC. If those rankings were to hold true, the Lions would be on the outside looking in when the NFL Playoffs roll around.
Making up the top 5 in the rankings are New England, Atlanta, Dallas, Green Bay, and Seattle. Coming in dead last are the Cleveland Browns.
