‘Hard Knocks’ director says 3 Detroit Lions stood out during trip to Allen Park

Training camp is about to begin for the Detroit Lions in Allen Park and there will be plenty of cameras from HBO's 'Hard Knocks'.

Detroit Lions training camp is about to kick off and in case you have not heard, the Lions will be the team featured on this year's edition of ‘Hard Knocks', an HBO docuseries that follows one NFL team throughout training camp.

As we know, one of the main stars of ‘Hard Knocks' will almost certainly be Lions head coach Dan Campbell, who is extremely animated and open to talking to reporters.

But who are some other people on the Lions who we should look forward to seeing on ‘Hard Knocks' during training camp?

‘Hard Knocks' director says 3 Detroit Lions stood out during trip to Allen Park

‘Hard Knocks' director Shannon Furman, who is the senior producer of NFL Films, traveled to Allen Park earlier in the offseason to do some scouting of the Detroit Lions with the hopes of finding some gems.

During an interview with Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, Furman revealed three Lions (2 coaches and a player) who stood out to her.

“One of the things I know that we’re definitely interested in is this coaching staff, so I was kind of trying to watch for that. Everyone obviously knows Dan Campbell’s going to be a big figure in this, but he was more mild-mannered, just in what I noticed. Aubrey Pleasant was someone who stood out to me. Defensive coordinator, coach (Aaron) Glenn, he stood out.

“It was interesting, Trinity Benson, No. 17, he had a couple of good days while I was there and then I saw that Coach Campbell brought him up in the presser after that, so I was like, maybe I do know what I’m talking about. I called everybody I know and was like, ‘Yeah, that was just somebody I wanted to keep on my radar.' Honestly, I would say Aubrey Pleasant, coach Glenn and Trinity Benson were three people who stood out to me in those two days.”

‘Hard Knocks' five-episode series is scheduled to begin on August 9th.

Nation, what are you most looking forward to seeing on ‘Hard Knocks' featuring the Detroit Lions?
