At the time of publication, Detroit Lions WR Kenny Golladay is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game at Ford Field against the Chicago Bears.

If Golladay is listed as OUT when the Lions Inactives Report is released around 11:30 am EST, many will start suggesting which Lions receiver will get his reps.
Many have speculated that rookie Quintez Cephus would get the start, as he has reportedly played very well in training camp.
But I don’t believe it will be the rookie that will take Golladay’s reps.
Instead, look for fourth-year WR Marvin Hall to fill in for Golladay, and do not be surprised if he does not make a big play or two for the Lions offense.

In 2019, Hall had just seven catches for 261 yards and a touchdown, but his 29 yards per reception was absolutely off the charts.

Now, I am not saying that Hall can fill Golladay’s shoes because that would be dishonest, but he has had a very good training camp, and Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford trusts he can make plays. If Golladay is out, look for Hall to get around 4 catches for 80 yards and maybe even a touchdown.
(All of this being said, let’s hope Kenny Golladay is cleared and plays against the Bears.)
