As you have probably heard by now, Detroit Lions LT Taylor Decker is OUT for Sunday’s game vs. the San Francisco 49ers with an injured finger.
But according to Ian Rapoport, Decker is going to miss a lot more than just Week 1 as his injury requires surgery.
Rapoport is reporting that the Lions are placing Decker on Injured Reserve and that he will likely miss a month or so of action.
This is obviously a huge loss for the Lions, especially considering they had had a chance to have one of the better offensive lines in the NFL in 2021.
The #Lions are placing star LT Taylor Decker on Injured Reserve after finger surgery, source said. He should be back after a month or so. But big loss initially.
