The staff of new Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell continues to take shape.
Reports indicate that the team will be hiring Jett Modkins as special teams coordinator:
Per League source, the Lions are hiring Jett Modkins as an assistant Special Teams coach.
Jett is the son of former Lions’ RB coach Curtis Modkins and was most recently with the Broncos as an coaching intern.

Additionally, the team announced the hiring of DeOn’Tae Pannell:

Modkins is the son of Denver Broncos RB coach Curtis Modkins. He served as offensive quality control coach as part of the Broncos Diversity Coaching Intern program. Previously, he was a volunteer defensive assistant coach at Akron University.
Pannell, a Southfield, MI native, played collegiately at Penn State and was a part of the Nittany Lions’ Big Ten winning team in 2008.
