If you follow college basketball closely, you have almost certainly heard of ESPN’s Joe Lunardi and his ‘Bracketology’ page.
Throughout the college hoops season, Lunardi updates his bracket to match how he believes the committee would seed teams based on the current data.
On Nov. 22, Lunardi had Michigan as a No. 8 seed but following the Wolverines’ epic run to start the season, including wins over No. 6 North Carolina and No. 8 Gonzaga on their way to a Battle 4 Atlantis championship, that has seed has changed in a big way.
According to Lunardi, Michigan is now a No. 1 seed, along with Louisville, Kansas, and Virginia.
Michigan State is a No. 2 seed.
Up next for the Wolverines is No. 1 Louisville on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. EST.
