JUST IN: Detroit Lions sign free agent defensive end

As the Detroit Lions continue to make their preparations for their Week 2 matchup against the Los Angeles, the have been working to improve their practice squad roster.

According to the Lions, they have signed free agent DE Eric Lee to their practice squad. In a corresponding move, they have released RB Nick Brossette, who had just signed with the team.

Lee returns to the Lions after posting six tackles in nine games for the team in 2018. He entered the NFL in 2016 with the Houston Texans as an undrafted rookie free agent out of South Florida and has also spent time on the Buffalo Bills’ and New England Patriots’ active rosters. In 15 career games (five starts), Lee has totaled 25 tackles, 3.5 sacks and one interception.
