JUST IN: Detroit Lions sign free agent QB Jeff Driskel

According to the Detroit Lions, they have signed free-agent quarterback Jeff Driskel.

Driskel, who worked out for the Lions on Friday, was originally drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the 6th round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

In 5 games with the Bengals in 2018, he completed 59.7% of his passes for 1,003 yards and six TDs to go along with two interceptions.

He will now compete with David Blough to win the backup QB job moving forward.

The move comes after the Lions decided to release QB Josh Johnson earlier this morning.
