Matthew Stafford has been the Detroit Lions quarterback for 12 seasons now and he has certainly suffered his fair share of bad losses. But Sunday’s 20-0 loss to the Carolina Panthers may have been the most embarrassing of his career. After all, it was the first time the Lions have ever been shut out with Stafford as their starter.
Following the game, Stafford tried to explain to the media how the 2020 Detroit Lions are better than the 2009 Detroit Lions.
“Believe me, I got here in 2009 and from where we (were) then to where we are now, we’re a better organization, a better football team, more talented. … We don’t have as many wins as we wish we had this year. But it’s one game, we’ve gotta move on from it.”

Nation, do you believe the Detroit Lions are a better organization and team than they were in 2009? To be honest, it is pretty said that it is even a legit question to ask.
