It has been a busy couple of weeks for the Michigan football program as multiple players have announced if they will be entering the NFL Draft or returning to the Wolverines for the 2023 season. Now, Wolverines DL Kris Jenkins has made his NFL decision. Jenkins had his best season in 2022, racking up 54 tackles to go along with two sacks.
What decision did Michigan DL Kris Jenkins announce?
On Monday, Jenkins took to Twitter to announce that he will be returning to Michigan for the 2023 season.
“There’s a chance to rebuild and a chance to learn from this,” Jenkins told The News. “I don’t want to sound like I’m beating a dead horse, but we really want to get back at it. This year, we got three out of our four goals. Next year, we want to get four out of our four. Not want, must. That’s the mentality we’re gonna have and we’re gonna continue to move forward.”
As it stands, the Wolverines will have 15 of 22 primary starters back for the 2023 season, and you can bet they will be ready to accomplish all four of their preseason goals.
