It’s a tale of two opposites with the latest release of the AP Top 25 College Basketball poll.
The surging Michigan Wolverines now occupy the No. 7 spot on the poll following two straight wins of at least 19 points, including a 25 pt. destruction of the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
Meanwhile, the Michigan State Spartans is nowhere to be found on the list on the heels of a shocking loss to Purdue that saw the Boilermakers overcome a massive halftime deficit to wrestle victory away from the jaws of defeat. It’s just the third time since 2017-18 that MSU has been absent from the Poll.
Spartans coach Tom Izzo would describe the loss as one of the most disappointing of his coaching career.
