We will not officially know the 2021 regular season schedule until Wednesday night, but according to a report from The Athletic, we now know which two NFL teams will host games in London during the upcoming season.
From The Athletic:
The determination has been made it is safe and two teams — the Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars — will play “home” games at Tottenham Football Club’s stadium. Because COVID-19 is more under control in the United Kingdom than Mexico, the NFL will not return to Mexico City this season.
“Just look at COVID rates for where the NFL is willing to travel,” a source said.
Could this impact the Detroit Lions?
Answer: Yes, the Lions will play a road game against the Atlanta Falcons in 2021, so there is a chance they could be going to London at some point during the season.
