On Sunday, the Detroit Lions had a chance remain undefeated by beating the Kansas City Chiefs at Ford Field.
Unfortunately, when all was said and done, the Chiefs used a last-minute touchdown to escape with a 34-30 win over a Lions team that had absolutely no quit in them.

As I scrolled through Twitter throughout and immediately following the game, I saw plenty of Lions fans (including a local Lions blog) blaming the officials for the loss.
I'm sorry but it's time to move on from that “loser mentality” and to start acting like OUR team is ABSOLUTELY NOT what some call the “Same Old Lions.”
Instead, it is time to BELIEVE and to act like we believe in this team.
Sure, the Lions came up a bit short on Sunday but in the midst of doing so, they proved to the NFL world that Matt Patricia is successfully changing the culture in the locker room.
Lions fans, that culture has to change amongst us too.
There are way too many who quickly jump to blame the referees for a loss or to jump off the bandwagon as soon as the littlest thing does not go the Lions way.
Dear Detroit Lions fans,
There are NO MORE EXCUSES!
There is NO MORE LOSER MENTALITY!
There is NO MORE ‘SAME OLD LIONS'!
Instead, there is believing that we belong. Because WE DO BELONG!
GO LIONS!
