WATCH: Detroit Lions signal-caller on wrong end of hardest QB hit ever

Throughout the history of the National Football League, there have been some ungodly hits that have taken place on the field. Whether it was Jack Tatum’s hit on Darryl Stingley in 1978 that caused Stingley to be a quadriplegic or Lawrence Taylor ending the career of Joe Theismann with one of the most gruesome hits/injuries of all-time, we have seen it all.

Theismann’s injury was awful but in terms of the hardest hit on a quarterback of all-time, we have to look no further than our own Detroit Lions.

It all happened in 1985 when Lions signal-caller Eric Hipple faked a hand off before rolling out. Unfortunately for Hipple, he never saw Scot Brantley of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who hit him so hard that he lost both his helmet and the ball.

In modern sports, no lead is safe and that was readily apparent in the UEFA Champions League match-up … Read more

OH NO! Hockey player Brogan Flanagan climbs over glass, starts brawling with fan

There is nothing better than watching two fired up hockey players drop the gloves and go toe-to-toe to see who is the bigger bad ass.

But, it’s not too often (fortunately) that a player goes into the stands to fight with a fan who was getting on his nerves.

Well, that’s exactly what happened during a New Brunswick Junior Hockey League game on Saturday. It all begins when Brogan Flanagan of the Grand Lake Moose has had enough of a heckling fan (allegedly) and climbs the glass to teach him a lesson.

In the video, Flanagan can be seen climbing the glass and then going after a fan, only to have his jersey torn off after taking a plethora of punches. He then climbs back over the glass as if he had enough punishment.

Here is an additional angle of the action.

FLASHBACK: Chris Osgood scores empty net goal

Former Detroit Red Wings goaltender Chris Osgood was known for making big saves. He was also known as one of the few goalies to score an empty-net goal.

On March 6, 1996 the Wings were up 3-2 against the Hartford Whalers when they pulled their goalie for an extra skater. They tried to dump the puck in but Osgood had other thoughts and launched it across the ice and into the empty net giving the Wings a 4-2 victory.

Osgood retired with one goal, a .905 save percentage, and a 2.49 GAA.
