The Detroit Lions are reportedly dealing with a major off field development involving one of their young defensive starters.
According to Detroit Free Press Lions beat writer Dave Birkett, cornerback Terrion Arnold has been arrested and is facing multiple felony charges that reportedly carry the potential for a life sentence in prison.
Birkett shared the news Wednesday night on social media, additional details regarding the nature of the alleged charges have not yet been released.
Arnold, the No. 24 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of Alabama, quickly established himself as a key piece of Detroit’s secondary. He appeared in all 16 games as a rookie in 2024, recording 60 total tackles, 10 passes defended, and one fumble recovery.
Before the reported arrest, Arnold had played in eight games during the 2025 season, totaling 31 tackles, one interception, and eight passes defended. Through his first 24 NFL games, he had accumulated 91 tackles, one interception, and 18 passes defended.
