According to reports, the cause for Jimenez’s time on the DL is a lower back strain.

Heading into the season, the Tigers were hoping they could leave Jimenez in Toledo to work on his secondary pitches, but their hand was forced when the bullpen struggled early on.

During his time with the big club, Jimenez struggled mightily, posting a 12.46 ERA in 4 1/3 innings of work. While in Toledo, it has been a different story as the Tigers prospect has not allowed a single earned run in 6 1/3 innings.
