Tigers pitcher creates fundraiser to aid friend shot over a cell phone

Detroit Tigers Michael Fulmer is seeking the assistance of the public to aid his friend who suffered a life threatening injury.

He posted a request for donations for the family of Josh Wright, who are struggling to pay medical expenses following his having undergone 12 surgeries after being shot point-blank while selling a phone on Craigslist.

There is currently no timetable for Fulmer’s return to the Tigers lineup.
