Stunned. Shocked. Shook. And deeply saddened by the horrible news of @BadgerMBB asst & former @UICFlamesMBB head coach Howard Moore in serious car accident in Michigan. I’m told Howard & his son survived, but his wife & daughter didn’t make it. ????

According to Michigan news source MLive.com, the vehicle that struck the Moore family was driving the wrong way on M-14. Per the report, the driver of that vehicle, 23-year-old Ann Arbor woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of a third vehicle involved is being treated for minor injuries.
The University hasn’t yet released a statement regarding the crash. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Jeff Potrykus reported that, “UW head coach Greg Gard planned to fly to Michigan Saturday to be with the Moore family.”
The tragic news was met immediately on Twitter with love, support, and prayers from the Wisconsin Badgers’ community and the college basketball world as a whole.
“Keep @Howard_Moore in your prayers during this tragedy. He is one of the most genuine people out there and can’t believe something like this could ever happen to his family. We’re all here for you Coach,” wrote Jason Bohannon, who played for the Badgers from 2006 to 2010.
