It hasn’t been a rosy week for the Detroit Lions or their fans. But Thursday did bring a bit of good news on the injury front as the team prepares for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.

Defensive end Mike Daniels participated in practice for the first time since suffering a sprained right foot during last month’s victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. However, his games status for Sunday hasn’t yet been decided.
Meanwhile, Darius Slay, suffering from a hamstring injury, didn’t practice. Defensive tackle Da’Shawn Hand as well as fullback Nick Bawden did participate. For Hand, it was his second straight practice as he heals from an elbow injury suffered during the preseason.
