After defeating the Green Bay Packers, the Detroit Lions finished the 2018 NFL season with a 6-10 record, leaving them in last place in the NFC North. With the loss, coupled with what other teams in the league around them in the standings did, the Lions have earned the No. 8 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
So, without further ado, let’s look to the future!
With the eighth pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions select Greedy Williams, cornerback, LSU.

There is no question about it, the Lions absolutely must look for defense early on in the NFL Draft. Whether it be an edge rusher, a defensive back, or a linebacker, Lions GM Bob Quinn has to focus on the defense.
That being said, if Greedy Williams is still on the board at No. 8, the Lions absolutely MUST pounce on him.
Williams is the best lockdown coverage cornerback in the draft and he would make an immediate impact on the Lions defense.
At 6’3″, Williams has great NFL size and he has proven himself against some of the best talent in college football playing against some of the top SEC teams such as Alabama and Georgia.
Lions fans, close your eyes for a moment and imagine a Lions secondary which features Darius Slay on one side and Greedy Williams on the other.
That would be a site to see!

Projecting the Detroit Lions’ 2019 Starting Offense
The 2018 Detroit Lions season is officially a wrap and with a 6-10 record, they finished in last place in the NFC North.
In this piece, I am going to break down what I believe the 2019 Detroit Lions starting offense would look like if Bob Quinn makes the right moves in free agency and the draft.
So, without further ado, I give you the 2019 Detroit Lions starting offense.
Quarterback – Matthew Stafford
Though some of you are eager for the Lions to part ways with Matthew Stafford, that is not going to happen. At least not this year.
Wide Receiver 1 – Kenny Golladay
Golladay continues to show flashes of why he will be a No. 1 wide receiver in this league for a long time. I truly look forward to watching him grow in a Lions uniform.
Wide Receiver 2 – Marvin Jones Jr.
Marvin Jones will be back again in 2019 and if he is healthy, he is a nice weapon for Stafford and the Lions offense.
