Prior to their middle game of a three-game set on Wednesday against the San Francisco Giants, the Detroit Tigers announced some roster changes.
The Tigers today have activated OF Alex Presley from the 7-day DL and designated the contract of OF Matt den Dekker for assignment.

Alex Presley returns from a stint on the disabled list after experiencing concussion-like symptoms. Presley last played on June 22 in Seattle, when he crashed into the wall tracking a fly ball down.
In 18 games this season for the Tigers, he is hitting .245 with a .649 OPS and five runs driven in. He started the majority of the games he played in, and most of his reps came in center field.
Detroit called up fellow veteran outfielder Matt den Dekker on their recent west coast trip shortly after placing Presley on the DL. den Dekker played in just four games for the Tigers, collecting one hit in seven at-bats, scoring one run. The club signed him to a minor league deal back in mid-May.

Presley will like see a diminished role compared to his time prior to hitting the DL, with the emergence of Mikie Mahtook lately for Detroit. Mahtook in 24 games since May 30 is hitting .343 with six XBHs and nine RBI, bumping his batting average up nearly .100 points during that time.
The Tigers also bring back another healthy veteran outfielder.
Additionally, the Tigers have activated OF Jim Adduci from the 7-day DL and optioned him to Triple A Toledo.

Jim Adduci was called up in late April by the Tigers. He was eventually placed on the DL (retroactive to May 11) with an oblique strain, an injury he sustained taking pregame cuts while the team was on the road in Arizona.
Adduci performed very well in his limited time with the big league club. In 13 games, he hit .318 (14 for 44) with an .888 OPS, driving in seven runs. Six of his 14 hits were good for extra bases.
