If you have ever tried betting on sports for a living (guilty as charged), you know exactly how hard that is to do.
Hitting a 5-team parlay almost seems impossible at times so I can only imagine how difficult it would be to hit a 20-team parlay.
Well, an unnamed bettor is just 1 win away from cashing in on a 20-team parlay which would win $499,888.80.
The kicker? The bet placed was just 89-cents!
The one game left just so happens to be Monday night's game between the Washington Redskins and Chicago Bears. If the Redskins win, the bettor cashes in for just shy of half a million dollars. If the Bears win, it was all for nothing. (Unless the bettor was smart enough to hedge!)
