Pistons forward Blake Griffin named to All-NBA Third Team

Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin enjoyed arguably the best season of his career in his first full season with Detroit. Though he wasn’t fully healthy as his team was swept in the first round by the NBA-best Milwaukee Bucks, Griffin’s presence and leadership was immeasurable for Detroit this year.

He averaged a career-best 24.5 points per game while shooting 46.2 percent from the field and 36.2 percent from 3-point range.

He received 13 second-team votes and 76 third-team votes among the third-team honorees, and is the first Pistons player to earn an All-NBA honor since Andre Drummond did so in 2016. For Griffin, it is his first time receiving third-team honors since 2015 with the Los Angeles Clippers.
