BREAKING: Detroit Tigers sign former All-Star closer Trevor Rosenthal


According to a report from Jon Heyman, the Detroit Tigers are signing former St. Louis Cardinals closer Trevor Rosenthal to a minor league deal.

Rosenthal, who was recently released by the Washington Nationals, has 121 career saves, all with the Cardinals.

In 12 games with the Nationals this season, Rosenthal struggled mightily as he posted a 22.74 ERA in 6.1 innings of work.
