According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, the National Football League has notified teams that former Univesity of Michigan star Jabrill Peppers tested positive for a dilute sample at the NFL Scouting Combine.

From Adam Schefter’s Facebook page:

According to a CAA spokesman, who works for agency that represents Jabril Peppers:

“Peppers went to the combine. He was sick after flying there from San Diego. He has a history of cramping. Peppers was being pumped with fluids, drinking 8-10 bottles of water before he went to bed, because he was the first guy to work out two days for the LBs and DBs. He had to go through that first day, come back on second day, and that was the fear. So Peppers was pounding water and under the weather. He never failed a drug test in his life, nor tested positive before for any substance.”

Despite being one of the best athletes in the nation, it is still unclear exactly where Peppers will play in the NFL. During the NFL Scouting Combine, the Heisman finalist worked out with both the linebackers and the defensive backs to show his versatility.

Because of this result, NFL general managers will not only have to figure out which position Peppers would play if they drafted him but now they have to decide whether or not he is worth a first-round pick at all.

Some have speculated that Peppers could fall to the Detroit Lions, who currently hold the No. 21 spot in the 2017 NFL Draft, which is set to begin this coming Thursday.

So, Nation, let’s say that Jabrill Peppers slips to the Lions on Thursday night. Do you roll the dice and select Peppers at No. 21 or did this dilute sample result make your decision to avoid drafting him very easy? Let us know your thoughts.
