LeBron James does what LeBron James wants and the NBA will not do anything about it.
According to reports (and photos), the Los Angeles Lakers star recently attended a promotional event for a tequila prior to the NBA's play-in tournament, which would be completely harmless if it was the year 2019. But, as you know (and LeBron knows), we are still in a global pandemic and the NBA has protocols in place to help slow down the spread of COVID-19 to the players and coaches.
By attending the event, James broke protocol, which caused many to say he should be suspended for his actions.
But, not surprisingly, the NBA did not suspend James and he is able to continue playing as if he did nothing wrong.
During an interview with LaJethro Jenkins on Yahoo Sports' “Dunk Bait,” NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley bashed the NBA for their decision.
From Yahoo!Sports:
I love Adam Silver, rest in peace David Stern, best commissioner in sports. The NBA ain't got the balls to f***ing suspend LeBron James. Zero. Listen, today, when I read that, I just — sometimes you read stuff, you just start laughing.
“Hey, the NBA, they ain't got no chance of suspending LeBron James. If it was a nobody, they would put him in healthy and safety protocols. Ain't no f***ing way LeBron James is going to be sitting out with all the health and safety protocols. When I read that, I just started laughing. LeBron James is playing Sunday. Guarantee.”
Do you think LeBron should be suspended for breaking protocol?
Lebron should be suspended from polite society. He is a dufus.
Thaddeus, you are correct!!!! As soon as Lebron weighed in or what he thinks the police should and should not do! Whatever, who even cares about this guy?
I feel the NBA goes way too far in letting stars have their way. Health and safety should be first and foremost and if any player breaks the rules they should face consequences. If any other player breaks that rule or a similar rule, the commissioner will have to follow the same path he took with LeBron or he looks like more of a total ass hat than he was in this situation.
